Alban Engineering, Inc. has completed many projects at Sun Valley High School in Aston, PA including a feasibility study, a hot water heater replacement, and other renovations around the school.
One of these renovation projects included the renovation of eight (8) group toilet rooms and four (4) single use toilet rooms during the summer of 2016.
Another project included a hot water heater replacement. The scope of work included the replacement of the existing Domestic Hot Water Generation Equipment including water storage and all associated piping located within the Mechanical Equipment room, roofing work, electrical work, controls and interlock etc. in a fully turnkey fashion. Install all equipment per the manufacturer’s recommendations and guidelines.
The most recent project at Sun Valley High School include multiple renovations to the building. A multi-project approach was created to address the programming, systems, and architectural/engineering upgrades required throughout the school. By utilizing multiple construction projects, the process reduced the disruption to students during the school year and created more manageable projects during the summer months. To date, the cafeteria, media center, science labs, general classrooms, and restrooms have been renovated to provide new building systems and architectural/engineering finishes. A new skylight provides daylight into the cafeteria, while the media center was recon figured for collaboration. The current design process will address the fine and performing arts, as well as athletic spaces. Square footage includes 22,500 new square footage with 151,000 square footage of renovations.
